Getting there

You can arrive in Taiyuan by air at Taiyuan Wusu International Airport, which hosts daily flights connecting you to Beijing, Guangzhou, and Xi'an. For those traveling by rail, the city is accessible via the Taiyuan Railway Station and the Taiyuan South Railway Station, where high-speed trains depart.

A local bus station is situated on the south side of Yingze Dajie, positioned between the train station and Bingzhou Lu. From this hub, you can catch buses to destinations such as Beijing, Datong, Shijiazhuang, Wutaishan, Yan'an, and Yulin. Additionally, minibuses depart from the train station parking lot specifically for trips to Datong, Pingyao, Shijiazhuang, and Wutaishan National Park.

Getting around

If you choose to ride the bus, route 1 travels along Yingze Dajie and provides access from the intersection across the train station toward the museum area. Another option is bus 611, which connects the train station to Jinnan bus station for onward travel, while bus 619 runs from the East Bus station through both the train station and Jinnan bus station.
