The primary way to reach Benin City by air is through Benin Airport (BNI). This is a small airport that accommodates a few daily flights from major hubs like Lagos and Abuja, with Arik Air being a frequent carrier.
Road travel is another common way to reach the city. It is accessible from various locations across the country via several bus transport services, including GIGM, Iyare Motors, GUO Motors, Agofure Motors, Efex Motors, and Muyi Line Motors. While the journey from Lagos takes approximately four hours, it is recommended to travel during daylight hours due to road conditions. The route from Port Harcourt is also roughly four and a half hours.
