Start at Puerto Venecia on the Night of 31 October

It is close to eleven at night and the car parks around Puerto Venecia are still filling. This is one of Spain's largest shopping centres, and on 31 October it turns itself over to Survival Zombie: a zombie-themed game that runs from 23:00 for roughly six hours, built around clues and physical tests rather than jump-scares alone. Under-16s need an adult with them. If you would rather sit in the dark and be frightened by professionals, the Cinesa multiplex in the same complex runs a horror marathon that begins at 00:00 on the night of 31 October and ends at 09:45 the following morning — five films back to back, with The Relic, Terrifier 2, Cuando acecha la maldad and Wrong Turn among the titles announced.

Ride the Rides After Dark at the Parque de Atracciones

The city's amusement park decorates itself with skulls, monsters and pumpkins for a Halloween programme that runs from 26 October to 17 November. Come with children and you can work through the Truco o Trato candy-collecting activity — buy the candy bags in advance — plus face painting, games and a large evening spectacle staged on selected nights. Adults get their own slot: on 31 October the park holds Spooky Horror Night, an 18+ evening of horror passages and shows.

Walk the Dead Through San Pablo and Sleep Among Ghosts

The Iglesia de San Pablo opens parts of its funerary spaces that are normally closed to the public for the guided route De tumba a tumba, a tour built around death and funerary rites and timed to All Saints' and All Souls' Days. It runs 26 October to 16 November with a single daily slot, at 18:30 or 19:30 depending on the day, and costs €12. If you want the countryside version, drive about 30 minutes out of the city to Rodén, a village abandoned during the Civil War after the 1936–1937 bombing that destroyed most of it and was never re-inhabited. Its ghost buildings and the stories attached to the killings and epidemics of the 1930s make it a Halloween pilgrimage for locals.

Feed the Family, Dress for Dinner

The Acuario de Zaragoza decorates for Halloween and lays on face painting and children's activities from 26 October to 3 November. On 1 November, the Jardín de las Artes runs Día de las Ánimas from 11:30 to 14:00 — family games under the banner "Colores de Monstruos", storytelling and animation with Llámame Bruja, and appearances by "Los Villanos". It is ticketed. For something stranger, Villa Misterio stages a dinner-show called Cena en el Infierno on Saturday 26 October and Thursday 31 October at 21:00, and you are expected to arrive in costume. If you would rather cook than be cooked for, the city's youth centres run Halloween cooking courses: Montañana's youth zone teaches cheese pumpkins on Saturday 19 October and Halloween pizza on Saturday 26 October, both from 17:30, and the University youth zone runs "Cocina terrorífica: truco o trato" on Friday 25 October from 18:00 to 19:30. Horror-themed escape rooms operate across the city year-round if you want a scare without a calendar date attached.

Plan Around the Last Week of October

The reliable window is the run-up to 31 October and the days immediately after, when the park, the aquarium, the San Pablo tours and the family programming all overlap. Halloween itself carries the late-night events — Survival Zombie and the cinema marathon — while 1 November belongs to daytime family activities and the traditional observance of the dead. Book the ticketed items and the dinner-show ahead, since the single daily tour slot at San Pablo and the costumed dinner seat only a limited number. Check current dates and times directly with each venue before you travel, as programmes shift year to year.

Zaragoza does Halloween as a city rather than a single party: you can spend the afternoon in a decorated aquarium, the evening walking a church's closed funerary corridors, and the small hours in a shopping centre playing at survival. Pick your nights, book what needs booking, and let the last week of October do the rest.
