Gloucester is a geographic area within Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, located east of the city's inner core. Originally an independent municipality, it was amalgamated into the Regional Municipality of Ottawa–Carleton in 2001, becoming part of the newly formed city of Ottawa. The amalgamation significantly expanded Ottawa's boundaries and population base.
With a population of approximately 150,012 people, Gloucester remains one of the significant residential communities within Ottawa's modern city limits. The area retains its geographic and administrative identity within the broader municipal structure despite no longer functioning as a separate municipality.
