Workington is a coastal port town and civil parish located in the Cumberland district of Cumbria, England. It is situated at the mouth of the River Derwent on the west coast, positioned approximately 32 miles (51 km) south-west of Carlisle and 8 miles (13 km) north-east of Whitehaven.
