Yabucoa is a town and municipality located in the eastern region of Puerto Rico. It is situated north of Maunabo, south of San Lorenzo, Las Piedras, and Humacao, and east of Patillas.
The municipality is organized into Yabucoa Pueblo and nine distinct barrios. Geographically and economically, it is considered part of the San Juan-Caguas-Guaynabo Metropolitan Statistical Area.
