Guánica is a town and municipality located in the southern region of Puerto Rico. It borders the Caribbean Sea to its south and is situated between the municipalities of Sabana Grande to the north, Lajas to the east, and Yauco to the west.
The municipality is part of the Yauco metropolitan statistical area. It serves as a coastal community within the southern portion of the island's geography.
