Dorado is a city located in Puerto Rico. It serves as a geographical location within the Caribbean region.
Additionally, Dorado refers to a constellation in the Southern Sky that was named in the late 16th century. It is currently recognized as one of the 88 modern constellations. The name is derived from the Spanish word for "golden," referring to the mahi-mahi fish, though it has also been depicted as a swordfish.
The constellation contains most of the Large Magellanic Cloud, with the remaining portion located in the constellation Mensa. Furthermore, the South Ecliptic pole is situated within Dorado.
