Cayey, officially known as Cayey de Muesas, is a mountain town and municipality located in central Puerto Rico. It is situated within the Sierra de Cayey on the Central Mountain range, positioned northeast of Salinas and north of Guayama. The town lies south of Cidra and Caguas, east of Aibonito, and west of San Lorenzo.
The municipality is spread over 21 barrios as well as Cayey Pueblo. It is also designated as part of the San Juan-Caguas-Guaynabo Metropolitan Statistical Area.
