Tepechitlán is a municipality situated in the southwestern region of the Mexican state of Zacatecas. It occupies a geographical area of approximately 584 square kilometers, positioned at an average altitude of about 1,700 meters above sea level.
The municipality is located between the coordinates of 21º33'49" and 21º44'00" latitude north and 103º09'07" and 103º32'01" longitude west. It serves as a defined administrative division within the state's southwestern territory.
