Jerez de García Salinas is a town and municipality located in the Mexican state of Zacatecas. The town was officially named in honor of a 19th-century reformer to distinguish it from other locations with similar names.
The municipality governs 128 communities, which constitute a rural region known for its dairy production and fruit tree cultivation. Due to its proximity to the state capital of Zacatecas, the town was designated as a Pueblo Mágico to promote tourism based on its traditional architecture, local food, and handcrafts.
