Uman is a city located in the Cherkasy Oblast region of central Ukraine. Situated to the east of Vinnytsia and within the eastern part of the historical region of Podolia, the city sits on the banks of the Umanka River.
The city serves as the administrative center for the Uman Raion district and hosts the administration of the Uman urban hromada. As of recent data, the population of Uman is approximately 81,525 residents.
