Tekax, officially known as Tekax de Álvaro Obregón, is the capital city of the municipality of the same name in the Mexican state of Yucatán. It is situated at an average height of 37 meters above sea level.
The city is located approximately 115 kilometers from Mérida, the state capital. It sits within a region accessible via nearby towns, including Akil (10 km), Oxkutzcab (18 km), and Ticul (34 km).
