Tlalnelhuayocan is a municipality located in the Mexican state of Veracruz. It is situated approximately 2 kilometres from the state capital, Xalapa.
The municipality is positioned along the Mexico City–Veracruz railway and Federal Highways 180 and 125. Its name originated as San Andrés Tlalnelhuayocan, incorporating a Nahuatl first name used by the people of Jilotepec. The area is composed of various localities, with San Andres, Otilpan, Palenquillo, San Antonio, Xocotla, and Xolostla being among the most well-known.
