Tequila

Tequila is a distilled beverage produced primarily from the blue agave plant. It is most notably associated with the region surrounding the town of Tequila, located approximately 65 kilometers (40 miles) northwest of Guadalajara.

The production area for this spirit extends into the Jaliscan Highlands within the central western Mexican state of Jalisco. The beverage is a key cultural and agricultural product of these specific geographic regions.
