Tehuipango is a municipality located in the montane central zone of the Mexican state of Veracruz. Situated at coordinates 18°31′N 97°03′W, it covers a surface area of 111.04 km2 and lies approximately 110 km from the state capital, Xalapa.
The region's history includes the presence of the Santiago Tehuipango people, who belonged to Zongolica's federation during the 16th century. The area eventually sought to establish its own town hall, and by 1831, it was organized as a municipality featuring basic schools and a masonry parish. It shares borders with Mixtla, Eloxitlan, Alcomunga, Astacinga, and Texhuacán.
