Soledad de Doblado is a municipality located in the semiarid zone of central Veracruz, Mexico. It is situated within the plains of the Sotavento region, approximately 75 km from the state capital of Xalapa. The city covers a total surface area of 370.96 km2 and is positioned at coordinates 19°03′N 96°25′W.
The municipality was officially named Soledad de Doblado on June 16, 1896, by decree. The name honors Manuel Doblado, who signed the preliminary agreements with representatives from England, Spain, and France in this location on February 19, 1862. It was later elevated to the category of city by a decree issued on November 16, 1961.
