Sayula de Alemán is a municipality situated in the plains of the Sotavento zone within the central region of the Mexican state of Veracruz. It is located approximately 382 kilometers from Xalapa, the state capital.
The municipality covers a surface area of 640.76 square kilometers (247 square miles) and is positioned at the geographic coordinates 17°53′N 94°57′W.
