Saltabarranca is a municipality situated in the southern zone of the Mexican state of Veracruz. It is located approximately 180 kilometres (110 mi) from Xalapa, which serves as the state capital.
The municipality covers a total area of 91.3 km2 (35.3 sq mi). Its geographical coordinates are 18°22′N 95°48′W.
