Orizaba is a city and municipality located in the Mexican state of Veracruz. It is situated approximately 20 km west of its sister city, Córdoba, and lies adjacent to the municipalities of Río Blanco and Ixtaczoquitlán along Federal Highways 180 and 190.
The city is almost coextensive with its small municipality, which covers an area of 27.97 km2. According to a 2020 census, the city had a population of 120,500, while the total population for the municipality was 123,182. The broader metropolitan area of Orizaba recorded a population of 462,261 in 2020.
