Oluta is a city and municipality situated in the southeastern zone of the Mexican state of Veracruz. It is positioned at the geographic coordinates 17°56′N 94°54′W.
The municipality covers a total surface area of 90.48 km2. It is located approximately 371 km from Xalapa, which serves as the state capital.
