Mixtla de Altamirano is a municipality located in the central zone of the Mexican state of Veracruz. It is situated approximately 247 kilometres (153 mi) from Xalapa, which serves as the state capital.
The municipality covers a total area of 60.87 square kilometres (23.50 sq mi).
