Ixhuatlancillo is a municipality situated in the central zone of the Mexican state of Veracruz. It is located approximately 165 kilometers from Xalapa, which serves as the state capital.
The municipality covers a total surface area of 39.48 km2 and is positioned at the geographic coordinates 18°54′N 97°09′W.
