Ixhuatlán de Madero is a municipality situated in the northern zone of the Mexican state of Veracruz. Located within the region known as Huasteca Baja, it sits approximately 376 km from the state capital, Xalapa.
The municipality covers an area of 598.81 km² and is one of the 212 municipalities that comprise the state of Veracruz. Its geographical coordinates are 20°41′N 98°01′W.
