Cuitláhuac was a prominent historical figure who served as the 10th Huey Tlatoani (emperor) of the Aztec city of Tenochtitlan. He held this position for approximately 80 days during the year Two Flint, which corresponds to 1520.
He is primarily recognized for leading the military resistance against the Spanish and Tlaxcalteca conquest of the Mexica Empire. His leadership followed the death of his kinsman, Moctezuma II.
