Boca del Rio

Mexico

Boca del Río is a city and municipality situated in the central region of the Mexican state of Veracruz. It serves as the seat of its own municipality, which lies directly south of the municipality of Veracruz. The area encompasses a portion of the neighboring city and port of Veracruz.

The city functions as an independent port and serves as the metropolitan area's primary hub for upscale hotels, restaurants, and business travel. A notable landmark within the municipality is the World Trade Center Veracruz, which hosts various conferences, conventions, and business meetings.

Boca del Río also features two distinct museums: one dedicated to the author Agustín Lara and another housed within a converted military ship. These sites contribute to the city's cultural and historical profile alongside its commercial significance.
