Santa Ana Chiautempan is a city located in the south-central region of the Mexican state of Tlaxcala. It serves as the municipal seat for the municipality of Chiautempan, which encompasses a total area of 66.21 square kilometers.
According to the 2005 census, the city had a population of 46,776 inhabitants. At that time, it was ranked as the fourth-largest community in the state of Tlaxcala by population.
