Soto la Marina is a town located within the Soto la Marina Municipality in the Mexican state of Tamaulipas. It is situated on the banks of the Soto la Marina river, positioned between the capital city of Ciudad Victoria and the small ocean port of La Pesca.
The town is accessible from Brownsville, Texas, via a highway that takes approximately three hours to traverse a distance of 180 miles. Historically, the area was directly impacted by Hurricane Alex in 2010.
