Palmillas is a historical town and township located in the southwestern region of Tamaulipas, Mexico. It serves as the municipal seat for the Palmillas Municipality, which comprises approximately five small towns.
According to data from the 2005 INEGI census, the municipality has a total population of about 1,603 inhabitants.
