Ciudad Mante, formally known as Mante, is a city located in the Mexican state of Tamaulipas. It serves as the municipal seat of the El Mante municipality and is situated in the northwestern portion of that region within extreme southern Tamaulipas.
The city is the ninth-largest community in the state by population. According to a 2005 census, it had a population of 81,884 inhabitants, accounting for approximately 73 percent of the total municipality population. The area covers 1,699.98 square kilometers and includes several smaller outlying communities, such as Celaya, El Limón, El Abra, Nueva Apolonia, and El Naranjo.
Transportation to and from the city is facilitated by the Ciudad Mante National Airport.
