Suaqui Grande is a town located in the Suaqui Grande Municipality within the eastern region of the Mexican state of Sonora. The settlement serves as a local hub in this part of the country.
The town was founded in 1620 by the Jesuit missionary Martín Burgencio, who originally established it under the name San Ignacio de Suaqui.
