San Felipe de Jesús is a city located in the central region of the Mexican state of Sonora. It serves as the municipal seat for the San Felipe de Jesús Municipality.
The city is named in honor of Saint Philip of Jesus, who is recognized as Mexico's first saint and a Franciscan martyr. Beyond its administrative role, it represents a primary urban center within the interior of the state.
