Escuinapa de Hidalgo is a city located at the extreme southern end of the Mexican state of Sinaloa. It serves as the primary urban center for the Escuinapa Municipality, which encompasses an area of 1,633.22 km².

According to the 2005 census, the city had a population of 28,789 inhabitants, while the broader municipality reported a total population of 49,655. The municipality includes several other localities, most notably the towns of Isla del Bosque and Teacapan.
