Tamazunchale is a town and municipality located in the Mexican state of San Luis Potosí. As of 2010, the municipality covered an area of 354 square kilometres (137 sq mi) with a total population of 96,820 residents.
The town itself serves as a primary settlement within the municipality, housing a population of 24,562 people. It is situated in the central region of the state of San Luis Potosí.
