San Nicolás Tolentino is a municipality and town situated in the central Mexican state of San Luis Potosí. The municipality was founded in 1614 and comprises various small towns and villages.
The town of Santa Catarina serves as the largest settlement within the municipality. In 1827, the Municipal Presidency was officially established in the town of San Nicolás Tolentino.
