Playa del Carmen is a resort city located along the Caribbean Sea in the southeastern state of Quintana Roo, Mexico. It serves as part of the municipality of Solidaridad and is situated approximately 68 kilometers away from the city of Cancun.
As of 2020, the city had a population of just over 300,000 people. The local community includes a thriving portion of immigrants alongside its resident population.
