Santiago Apóstol is a town and municipality situated in the state of Oaxaca, Mexico. It is located approximately 36 kilometers (22 miles) from the state capital, Oaxaca City.
The municipality has a population of 4,200 as of 2010. A large portion of the native population speaks Zapotec, which is one of the indigenous languages of Mesoamerica.
