San Pedro Cajonos is a town and municipality located in the state of Oaxaca in southeastern Mexico. It is situated within the Villa Alta District, which is positioned in the center of the Sierra Norte Region.
Founded on September 16, 1700, San Pedro Cajonos is the fourth smallest municipality in Oaxaca, though it remains larger than the municipalities of Santa Inés Yatzeche, Santa Cruz Amilpas, and Natividad. The local population primarily speaks Spanish, along with a smaller amount of an indigenous language known as Cajonos Zapotec.
