San Juan Bautista Valle Nacional is a town and municipality located in the state of Oaxaca in south-western Mexico. It is situated within the Sierra Juárez mountains and falls under the jurisdiction of the Tuxtepec District in the Papaloapan Region.
The municipality encompasses a total area of 394.23 km2. Geographically, the town is positioned on the north bank of the Valle Nacional River, which serves as a tributary to the Papaloapan River.
