San Antonino Castillo Velasco is a town and municipality located south of Oaxaca City in the Mexican state of Oaxaca. It is situated within the Ocotlán District in the southern portion of the Valles Centrales Region.
The town has a population of fewer than 5,000 residents. It is primarily known for its traditional crafts, specifically fine embroidery and items crafted from "flor inmortal," a flower that retains its color even after being dried. The name San Antonino honors the patron saint Anthony of Padua, while "Castillo Velasco" was added to commemorate José María Castillo Velasco, a local native who served in the Reform War and the French Intervention.
