Putla Villa de Guerrero, often referred to simply as Putla, is a town and municipality located in the state of Oaxaca, Mexico. It serves as a local administrative center within the Putla District.
Geographically, the municipality is situated in the western portion of the Sierra Sur Region. The area is characterized by its location within this mountainous highland territory of southern Mexico.
