Xalisco is a city and its surrounding municipality located in the Mexican state of Nayarit. It serves as a significant local jurisdiction situated adjacent to the southern side of Tepic, which is the state's capital.
The municipality covers an area of 290.6 km² and is integrated into the Tepic metropolitan area. According to the 2005 census, the city had a population of 21,899, while the broader municipality recorded a total population of 42,893.
