Tuxpan is a city and municipality situated in the Mexican state of Veracruz. According to the 2020 INEGI census, the city has a population of 89,557 residents, while the broader municipality houses 154,600 inhabitants across a total area of 1,051.89 km² (406.14 sq mi).
The municipality encompasses several outlying communities, with Alto Lucero and Santiago de la Peña identified as the largest among them. Additionally, the region features a nearby beachside community.
