Rosamorada is a municipality located in the northwestern part of the state of Nayarit in Mexico. The municipality covers a total area of 2,073 km2.
The region is primarily rural, with its population having decreased from 34,695 in 1980 to 32,217 as of 2005. Major settlements within the municipality include San Vicente, which has 4,556 inhabitants, followed by Rosamorada with 3,393 residents.
Other notable local communities in the area include Los Pericos, Chilapa, Pimientillo, and El Tamarindo.
