Xochitepec is a municipality located in the state of Morelos in central Mexico. It serves as both the name of its principal township and the seat of its municipal government.
The municipality is situated approximately 13 km (8.1 mi) south of Cuernavaca, which is the capital of Morelos. Xochitepec is positioned on the southern outskirts of the city's greater metropolitan area.
