Axochiapan is a city located in the Mexican state of Morelos. It is situated at a mean height of 1,030 metres (3,380 ft) above sea level, with geographic coordinates of 18°30′N 98°45′W.
The city is bordered by several neighboring municipalities and states. It is surrounded by the State of Puebla to the east and south, while it shares borders with Jonacatepec to the north and Tepalcingo to the west.
