Atlatlahucan is a city located in the Mexican state of Morelos. Situated at a mean height of 1,656 meters above sea level, the municipality covers a total area of 71 square kilometers.
The name Atlatlahucan translates to "Place of red or brown water," which is currently stored in cisterns known as jagüeyes. The city is bordered by the State of Mexico to the north, Cuautla to the south, Yecapixtla to the east, and Tlayacapan and Yautepec to the west.
