Tuzantla is a municipality located in the eastern region of the Mexican state of Michoacán. The municipality covers a total area of 1,018.49 square kilometres and serves as the administrative seat for the city of Tuzantla.
The region is bordered by several neighboring municipalities, including Jungapeo and Hidalgo to the north, Juárez and Susupuato to the east, Tiquicheo and Tzitzio to the west, and Tiquicheo and the state of Guerrero to the south. According to the 2005 census, the municipality had a population of 15,302 inhabitants.
