Tocumbo is a municipality located in the Mexican state of Michoacán. It covers an area of 506.85 square kilometres (195.70 sq mi) and serves as the seat for the city of the same name.
The municipality is bordered by Tingüindín to the north, Los Reyes to the east, the state of Jalisco to the south, and Cotija to the west. According to the 2005 census, the population of Tocumbo was 8,820 inhabitants. The local economy is primarily based on agriculture and ranching.
