Tepalcatepec, also known as Tepeque, is a city and municipality located in the Mexican state of Michoacán. It is situated within the state's southwestern Tierra Caliente region.
The municipality borders the state of Jalisco to its north and west. The area is characterized by its location within the distinct geographical zone of Tierra Caliente.
